The former Raytheon Facility Site was designated a PIP site in 2000 and associated documents may be viewed at the Public Repositories (Wayland Public Library and Wayland Board of Health) or through the Documents section of this website.

Site activities are documented under two separate Release Tracking Numbers (RTNs):

RTN 3-13302* includes activities associated with assessment and remediation of the:

  • heavy metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) impacts in wetlands located in the western portion of the Site; and
  • chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) and chromium impacts to groundwater in the southern portion of the Site. *Several RTNs (3-1783, ERB-N-92-1340, 3-13302, 3-13574, 3-14042, 3-19482) are linked to and tracked under RTN 3-13302. All pertinent documents are included under RTN 3-13302.

    RTN 3-22408 includes activities associated with assessment and remediation of the:

    • CVOC impacts to groundwater in the northern portion of the Site;
    • arsenic in groundwater beneath the wetlands and western portion of the Site; and
    • methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE) in groundwater in the southern portion of the Site.
